f you follow me on social media, this will be no surprise to you... My wife and I are expecting our first baby! I am having trouble containing my excitement these days, especially after I had to hide it for so long in the first few months. I figured I would take a moment to talk about what has been happening for the past five months as we go through this crazy exciting time in our lives.
Read MoreWell, it's been awhile since I've posted and I figured it was time to update everyone on my triathlon journey. Our last post was around the time of Ironman Austria and since then, much has happened. I took about two months off while my wife and I got married in Colorado. We then took a nice honeymoon in Kenya to see some incredible animals (nature is a cruel place) and spent a short period of time hiking through Uganda and Rwanda trekking Mountain Gorillas. A fantastic trip, I highly recommend it to anyone.
Read MoreI have officially had 5 days to decompress, analyze, and recover from the events of last Sunday. Both mentally and physically. I will start by saying this, at the time of the race I was happy to compete but wasn’t sure that I would ever do it again. Five days later, it is taking everything in my being to not sign up for another race immediately! The rest of 2015 is busy enough; my next 70.3 will have to wait until 2016. Oh, and I also have to survive Ironman Austria in a little over two months but that is neither here nor there. The following is a brief description of my first Ironman 70.3 experience. I will ask Tiff to write her own recollection of events and post that later this week, hopefully.

The funny thing is, the full Ironman is so daunting that I am not even worried about the half Ironman that is a little over two months away!
Read MoreIt's been awhile since my last post but I promise that I haven't thrown in the towel quite yet. I didn't realize how much guilt this website would cause. The excuse, I mean reason, that I have for this temporary hiatus is an incredibly busy work schedule. Over the past month, my job has become incredibly demanding in both time and emotional commitment. Not that it wasn't before but it has hit a whole new level. On top of that, I would like to say that wedding planning has also taken a lot out of me but that would be an absolute excuse as Tiffany has been incredible with all of that. Honestly, as an aside, it baffles me how this girl can function at 190 mph. It's exhausting just watching her but I am glad I put a ring on that finger. Anyways, here is a brief recap of training in the past few weeks and some pretty pictures in hopes that you forget the amount of time that has passed.

There has been a lot of craze over Greek yogurt, lately. A lot of this stems from the increased level of protein and the reduced sugar compared to traditional yogurt found in North America. Insert Siggi's, the Icelandic version of Greek yogurt... if I can say that. Siggi's began in 2004 in a small New York City apartment. It is a high-protein, thick and creamy yogurt with very little added. According to the website:
